6.0L heads would not be good for ur 5.3 that will drop ur compression too low that ur gonna run like crap def not worth it, prob the best thing is to ethier buy some 243 heads and send them in to get milled down and smoothed out or like red said send ur heads to get ported for more air flow on ur 5.3 heads

5.3L heads actually work really damn well. Go have the heads polished/cleaned up, have it decked so the mating surfaces are true, have a 3-angle valve job performed, and have them fully balance your valvetrain.

If not, have the same thing done to some 243s (they flow slightly better than the 317s), but have them do a minimal porting. Then have the deck milled mack down to keep the CR close to stock.

What are you planning on doing--staying N/A or going FI?????

Balancing means that they operatively engage each valve (intake and exhaust) to account for manufacturing tolerances and other factors, by balancing the motion of the valves (opening and closing) because of the addition of the stiffer aftermarket springs. Once the valvetrain is balanced, it provides a smoother functioning and operating setup.

Where do I meet this snake-oil salesman. Never heard of such a thing. Have any documentation showing gains with the whale blubber additive?
