It's not so much the individuals that make up unions, but instead, what unions stand for and represent. I'm not saying everyone who is in a union is a worthless piece of ______, but the institution of the union allows for a greater number of slackers without consequence. I've seen it first hand, someone who ahs been with a certain company for a long time, Person A, takes off work all the time, claims they are hurt etc. Person B, works his A off and when it comes time to make cuts, Person B is cut because they haven't been with the company as long.
