I don't know man, if i could get the puke green one......
I agree, learn to take a pay cut for gods sake! But i guess they kinda brought it upon themselves. 3 manufacturers and 3 identical models with some things.
If they could all have their own independent models........

ahh Saturn sucks anyway. Gm has laways kept like models in every different make. For example: Pontiac GTO, Chevelle Malibu, Chevrolet El Camino, Gmc Sprint, Oldsmobile Cutlass/442, all pretty much the same car on the same frames. Motors were pretty much the only thing that were left to each individual branch, but still pretty much followed the same displacement guidelines. Pontiac and Oldsmobile had a 455 that compared to Chevy's 454 and so forth and so on.

Point is its like running a General Store.
You're going to increase profits by removing half your inventory
you have for sale ???
Sure it cuts down on over head, but you now have less things
to sell to make a profit on in the first place.
Its ass backwards logic. Saturn was not a duplicate model brand for GM
never had been, and been one of GM's better preforming brands for a while now.

You are right about reducing the lines being a bad idea. I won't argue that point. I remember seeing some saturns with rattle issues and shaudy interiors though. Maybe in the last couple of years they have gotten better, I haven't seen much of the new models. Also, the sky is on the same platform as the solstice and I believe they also have an equinoxish vehicle, but I wouldn't take that one to the bank.

The saturn vue has always been the same platform as the equinox, torrent and srx. Ion was a cobalt with a better body. The new outlook(which i am really fond of) is equal to the acadia, enclave, traverse. Before these models they were pretty much engineered by saturn. I chose to buy saturn twice only because my wife liked those body styles better and the price range was exactly what we needed. The news that saturn was gonna get canned came out the same time everything else was, it was just over shadowed by pontiac lol. I am a little disappointed cuz i really wanted to get my wife a sky and lsx it

Penske doomed Saturn. If they were unsure they should have kept their iron out of the fire. Now nobody will be able to pick the line up because GM just mothballed it all together. Too bad for the Sky/Solstice, that was a sweet car with a big future ahead for it.

good saturn is crap
Saturn WAS crap until a couple years ago when all Saturns became rebadged real GM cars. This is a good move. The VUE is not directly related to the Equinox and Torrent, just loosely.....about the same amount a Catera and a 2004-2006 GTO are.
