    Exclamation Starts but stalls..

    Hey people.

    I have a 2001 Tahoe with the ordinary 5.3L.

After sending the PCM (mail order) tune back a couple times to W4M Performance and the truck still not starting I gave up on the cam and yanked it back out last night.

I have 241 Cast LS1 heads on the block that I'm about to pull off in a couple hours and just go back to stock so I'll have something to drive till then.

Anyways, I have a code reader and it's not pulling any codes.. But when I go to start the truck it sounds like it wants to try but as soon as I let off the key back to the ON position it stalls.

    I replaced:
    All four O2 sensors..
    MAP sensor..
    MAF sensor..
    TPS sensor..
    IAC valve..
    Cam sensor..
    Crank sensor..
    Third set of spark plugs..
    Plug wires..
    Second set of coil packs..
    Changed out exhaust flange gaskets..

AND still no luck..After I put the stock heads back on I'll give it another shot since I just realized that I lowered the compression ratio with the 5.7L heads.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!!

P.S - I'll sell the heads for 300 and the cam for 400 if anybody is interested.

    I'll pay shipping

Sounds like a V.A.T.S. issue. Did you get your original PCM back or a different one? You may need to try the V.A.T.S. relink procedure.

+1. VATS will get ya every time! I would not go to the extreme of taking the mods off yet. Try the VATS relearn and it should fire right up!

I feel sorry for ya for spending all of that $$$$ by replacing all of those sensors. Next time, try posting your problems up here and wait for a few hours until someone posts a fix for the problem...

I looked up the website for the security instructions on nelson's website and still no luck. I pulled the cam out already and its back in the box and just put the stocker back in. And tomorrow I'm pulling off the heads and putting the stock 5.3l heads back on and bring it to thunder racing in baton rouge to get them to start it. I have a nitrous kit laying up stairs that I might throw on it till then.

Instead of doing the 219/233 109LSA cam, I was thinking about sticking with a ls6 cam and heads..

Thanks for all of yalls help so far.

Please keep the ideas rolling in before I put it on a trailer..lol

I did the VATS relearn for about 3 hours yesterday and still no luck.

Currently located on a 20 ft trailer in the drive way ready for the dealership to
    look at it for Wednesday.

I'll keep yall posted on what was the issue the whole time.
