Lacquer thinner, then wax and grease remover, then wash, polish, buff, wax, seal. If it's not to heavy you can skip some of the steps. Also need to know what the overspray is because if it's latex house paint there is a better way...
claybar?

it wasnt there until after i got it back from the body shop. it looks like its white paint. its on the rear passenger door. and they repainted the hole rear bedside. so im guessing its something they used on that.......
Gasguzzler's got it. When I worked at the body shop we used dealersol for rattle can graffiti and overspray. Then we would buff it with the finest compound. I have overspray all over my truck and it took FOREVER just to do the hood with a claybar and it still didn't get it all.
