    ford 302, aexaclty how slow?

    i posted this on the chat a few nights ago so some may know. my buddys getting out of his turd ranger. he wants something that has some power, he thinks just because it has a v8 its gona be fast so he thinks the 302 will be pretty quick (he knows it wont be real fast but still...) anyway i tell him the 302 will be a turd and get bad mileage and he should at least test drive a chevy. he refuses to test a chevy out and hes never really even driven a v8 so he doesn't really know how ford stacks up with the competition but somehow he is really hung up on the blue oval. so then i tell him atleast look for a 351 or maybe a 460, he seems kindof hung up on the 302 though... i dont know, what do you guys think he should do. the man is obviously confused, he hasn't driven a Chevy, or even any full size truck for that matter.

    btw his current car has the 3.0, and if you say a v8 wont be much faster, you may not realize how slow this thing is...

    yea, lets try to keep the ripping on ford to a minimum, i want real info. its too easy to knock ford, and trust me, i know what ford quality is... you dont have to tell me lol.

    Its almost impossible to find any track times on these things because no one talks about running 17-16 seconds in the quarter... One thing you gotta remember is that they weigh a ton next to all their competition.

    aarolar- thats the stuff im looking for. i will definitely show him that. if that last two drag times you posted dont change his mind, hes a moron and i will let him waist his money, again. you would think he would learn after the ranger lol.
