Ok. Well, I guess that means I can;t say anything...

Whatever--Ramsey--you're gunna hear my comments anyway! Alright:
1.) If cost is an issue, I would say to get your hands on an LS2 intake and 90mm setup. I am almost positive that you will have to relocate your accessories...
2.) But if you have a little money to spend, I would HIGHLY recommend the FAST 90/90 for your application. I could go on and on about the reasons why you shouldn't do the Vic Jr., but lets just say that you will get better RPM-range numbers by using a FAST intake on your truck...

Posted this originally in the wrong topic somehow. Thanks Tyler for seeing that.

Why not do the TBSS 90mm setup if you want to keep the torque. I just can't imagine gaining much from any of them since you have forced induction already. To me it sounds like too much money for a small gain in your situation. You may get some huge gain but I cannot see it.

tyler i wasnt speaking of u what would make you think like that.lol i appreciate any opinions.im doing this new buissines now with 2 performance shops ,me and my brother each are partners on both and are busting our humps too make them work so far so good but weve been doing alot of neccessity work ,wich i am not looking to do diag work i want to do happy work the stuff we all like doing to our trucks ya know but for now you got to do what you need to to make a start.,and moral of the story is i do respect any intelligent opinions.i just dont like wasting my short time i get to get on here wiith wise cracks .theyre a waste of time to me ,im strickly buissiness ,nothing wrong with fun but usually when i ask a question im in a hurry for an answer.so dont take any offense .im just really going to be depending on you guys for quick positive answers.thank you .so like red says i probly wont gain much from this mod but i really want too get rid of the factory ugly intake but dont want too lose power.so tyler what aare the bad things about using the victor setup?allen was saying the guys with those setups usually get more longevity and dont have the num 7 problem.so let me know what the deal is in youre opinion,i like the looks of the victor and im swaying that way but dont want too sacrifice power.thanks

Aw, I was merely kidding about the comment Ramsey...I have to live up to my LS1truck title! Anyway, the reason behind me not recommending the Vic Jr. intake is that of due to lower rpm flow. From what I have understood, the Vic Jr. is best utilized for high compression, high RPM motors. They make great power up in the upper limits of nicely built LSX motors---like forged crank, rods, pistons, Stage III heads, extremely high lifts cams, and a 90mm TB at minimum... Even though you are running at a relatively high 15 psi, I don't think the Vic Jr. is your best option. I would either pick the LS2 intake or the FAST 90/90. But honestly, I would do the LS2 intake first. It is a good truck intake motor, since it was developed for a 6.0L motor, and the TBSS responds very well to it with good amounts of torque. Considering your motor is an LQ4 and your smaller 212/222 cam in it, I think the LS2 would be a good intake to go with right now. If it doesn't fit your needs, you can easily sell it and get a FAST 90/90... Oh, and while you are at it, I would try and put a different cam in...Maybe something along the lines of a Comp custom grind 220/224 .581/.588 114+3 LSA. I would also like to see how your truck would run with a nice set of Patriot Stage II heads...

Yeah, I had a brain fart when I mentioned the heads...it was kind of a last second after thought... But what you could do is take your heads to a local machine shop and have them cleaned up--have them mill the heads flat (.005) and then have them just polish up the CC, do a 3-angle valve job, and have them fully balance your valvetrain. That would put you at about a Stage 1.5 stock head...I guess. And when machine shops ''clean up'' the heads, they don't port them at all--just polish them and make sure everything is straight and true...there isn't a lowering of CR since they don't port anything--just better flow. And they look SO pretty when cleaned up!
