That is awesome man. I have lost 61lbs since Jan 5th 2009. I gained maybe 20lbs of muscle during that time though. You are dropping too fast though. You are most likely in starvation mode and loosing more muscle than fat.

    Good motivation here.
Also P90X is the bomb. You just have to use it. Follow the meal plan. 100%

    Thanks everyone for the encouragement.

Don't worry guys, I'm staying healthy(except for the last two weeks) I stayed steady at about 1000 calories a day until two weeks ago. That's when I went down to 300-500 calories a day. I've had 600 calories today already. I've been pretty lucky with muscle mass and strength. For some reason it seems that I haven't lost any since high school when I used to do powerlifting. I've lost 15 pounds in the last two weeks alone and since I started feeling affected I bounced back to 1000 a day. I stay pretty balanced as far as nutrition. Everything that I used to make with beef and pork is now turkey. Breakfast sausage, ground turkey, basically everything txsilverado said. It does taste better and I do believe it does have more protien. It is also easier on the insides. Since I started a healthier diet I get physically sick if I veer off the path.

surely you aren't much fatter than I was at 290.

I'm gonna get a before and present pic up later tonight I think. I look way different than I did even a week ago.

Don't worry about the quick weight loss. It came off easy at first because a good portion of it was water loss. It will become harder to lose now. Stay on your plan. Don't slack off because someone might tell you it came off too fast. The closer you get to your goal the slower the pounds will come off. It will become a battle.

    Good luck! Hang in there!
