No matter what John does with the rest of his career, he will go down as one of the greatest of all time.

That being said, I don't look favorably at throwing races for any reason. They do it in NASCAR too between teammates. Teammate A has a fast car and maybe coulda won, but Teammate B is in a better standing in the points so Teammate A pushes him around the track. Just drive your race IMO.

Its racing, and people will always have to face the tragedy of death if they compete in it. Thats one of the reason that drivers race, to cheat death. Anyhow, 1320' is what it should be, regardless of who passed. We've lost alot of great drivers over the years and 1000' probably wont change that, but time will tell......

Really? How many other have died before the change in length? These are race cars and should go 1/4 mile just like street cars should race an 8th. Why was a Kalitta enough to change the rules?

What are you? Gay? Who cares what her Dad looks like. If you're thinking about him when you look at her, you have bigger fish to fry.

everytime someone dies or gets seriously injured they investigate why it happened and how they can put in preventitive measures to hopefully change the outcome next time...In kalittas case I think he was unconsious way before it was time to shut her down...Most of these tracks were built when cars were not running any where near 300 mph...Faster they go the further it takes to stop.

The same tech that allows them to go faster allows them to slow in the same distance. The problem is places designed when 200 was fast....(north east in most cases).

Just Funny Car....not Top Fuel. Just for the record.
I really don't think John Force would ever fit into a dragster. Even in his younger days.
If pro is opposite of con, then what is the opposite of progress?
