at $13000 for a base engine it better. Add another 3-4k for everything to make it work. The ls7 engine is old technology, too, and it would only take about $3000 in work on the LS3 to beat an ls7. GM built too good an engine in the ls3 making it really hard to sell the Z06 packaged Vettes. Lets talk LS9!![]()

If I had it to do all over again I would be. Let me ask you this, when you were running your 408 before it took a dump would you ever dream of trying to make a little ol' 4.8L mean by putting a turbo to it and pushing it to the limits?
I know DBRODS' LS2 is aluminum and he's faster than I am with less cubes and less nitrous. 400 lbs makes you about .4 seconds faster.
