    I'd start with the sending unit. Find someone with a scanner and verify the reading going to the PCM so you can determine for sure if its not just a bad gauge cluster.

    Ive got a Snap On Diagnostic. Also I have my aerofoce set on oil pressure and its reading the same as the gauge is. Its bouncing.

    yeah the areoforce reads what the sending unit puts out...so cluster is ruled out

    Ill install the autometer gauge probably saturday and if it pulses then I know my oil pump is about to go. So I shouldn't be driving it huh? Or is it safe to drife from work to home and back (5) miles as long as i have oil pressure and just keep and eye on it.

    I would not drive it at all until I knew if there was an electrical problem or a mechanical problem. No doubt. Besides, it was making noise, right? That never gets better on it's own.

    Yes it did make the noise, but only for abour 4-5 minutes. It since has not.

    I def. know there was a noise there it was not normal.
