Yes--to both statements. The Jeep is faster stock-to-stock, but as everyone else has stated, only a few mods are needed to get the TBSS to outrun a SRT8 GC. Too bad for Chrysler making their $hit the way they did--and not being about to custom tune their stuff. The Diablo programmer is really the best thing to a custom tune for a GC.

Hennessey has a SRT 600 version. It is a turboed version of the 6.1L Hemi.

Yeah--sorry about that. I got SWAMPED at work on Friday---I didn't leave here until 6:30 pm or so. then by the time I got home and went to the gym, it was almost 9 pm. I figured it would be waaaay too late to get up and drive an hour to get there at 10:30 and then only be there for like 7 minutes before everything was done.

Yeah, I do agree with you Wade--and Kurt--about the debate between the SRT and SS guys. There are some douce bags on both sides of the fence with ruins it for everybody. All in all, we should just concentrate on the simple fact of friendly brand rivarly and to race what you brought. The Jeep has the upper hand on the TBSS just because it has a larger motor with more HP and torque, not to mention a 5 speed auto and AWD. The TBSS is cheaper, has a smaller motor, 4 speed auto, the availability of AWD, and less power from the factory. With that said--facts are facts--and the SRT-8 GC would beat a TBSS stock. Hands down. But the TBSS does have the ability of aftermarket mods and the SRT-8 GC really doesn't. If you look at it from a money standpoint, if you have $45k in your hand and one guy buys a SRT-8 GC and another guy buys a TBSS, the SRT-8 GC owner can only buy the vehicle and have no money left over to spend on mods. The TBSS owner has roughly $12k to spend in mods. One could easily spend $4k in mods to the TBSS and it would easily beat a SRT-8 GC. But all in all, it comes down to what you want. Both vehicles are very nice and are the factory performance version of a plain SUV.

Wade, Saladbar is a great guy and he has a very nice and quick truck. You guys are the reason why there is friendly competition between brands.

stock, the jeep will win but chrystler does not have the aftermarket support that chevy has.

you can make a tbss faster than the srt jeep can ever be.

I presume that my pacesetter headers on my silverado wont work on a TBSS due to the frame.. is that right?

Ok, completely off topic, but yes--they will not fit on a TBSS.
