Both being stock, the Jeep would win. However, the SS has a lot more options for mods, not to mention it's a GM!! Chrysler=

I think the SRT-8s run somewhere around 12.8s stock!
    2004 RCSB lowered 2/4 with boss 330 22" black wheels. 4.8 w/ Pacesetter LTs, ORY, 3" cutout, K&N 77 intake, 224/224 on 112 Lunati cam, 160 t-stat, W4M tune.

The SRT8 would win stock vs. stock but, who keeps theirs stock? Slap a tune, intake and a 3600 stall in a TBSS and your right with, if not infront of a srt8 jeep. If I'm not mistaken, the jeep comes with that stall. The LS platform IMO is better. The mod/tune market for the SS is greater. I've seen one SRT8JGC at the track, with intake and exhaust, run a 13.3 and watched him back it up with the same time. With intake, headers/exhaust, Nelson tune and only 800 miles on the SS, I ran 13.4 with a 2.1 60ft time. I'm launching better and with more miles on her, I feel it's a little stronger now? Either way you go, they are both impressive suv's and a force to be reckoned with, especially on the street.

i was at Hennesy's track this weekend and his heads/cam SRT-8 pulled off a whooping 13.3...i was rolling laughing cause he ran slower/right at stock times...i love both of them but you just cant beat the aftermarket world that is there for Chevy's so the TBSS has a lot more potential in the end

Yes--to both statements. The Jeep is faster stock-to-stock, but as everyone else has stated, only a few mods are needed to get the TBSS to outrun a SRT8 GC. Too bad for Chrysler making their $hit the way they did--and not being about to custom tune their stuff. The Diablo programmer is really the best thing to a custom tune for a GC.

Hennessey has a SRT 600 version. It is a turboed version of the 6.1L Hemi.
