Yes I know what an SD tune is... Doing so would help him out not just with the shifting, but it would help out his tune overall. Sure, you could go back in and alter the tables without doing an SD tune, but doing a live tune would make his truck run better overall. So maybe the real question is his his truck a DD or is it strictly a track vehicle?

None taken. Did you know that the 92-93 Corvettes are speed density programmed? There isnt a MAF on them and they run just fine. Mine did too until some yahoo took the LS1 intake and 78mm TB off if and put a worthless LS2 intake with 90mm NickWilliams throttle body on it. Now it doesn't idle too good but runs a whole lot better! WOT tuning is perfect, just idle is off.
Check your MAP and TPS sensors. They cause shift problems when bad or when you have a bad wire running to the sensors. Check for nicks/cuts/rubs in the wiring to the sensors.

If you don't know what a speed density tune does please don't comment. You can easily be a Daily Driver with a speed density tune. It isn't race only.

check your tune and make sure you have your trans pressure returned to stock...i had the same problem after putting the servo and shift kit in...allen left the trnas pressures up and you could give just a hair of gas and bang it would slam into gear....I put the pressure back to stock and now it shifts in accordance to how much throttle input is there...soft when less gas and hard with more
