as for my 4.8 vs larger motor. take a look at parish's 408 at the same psi level as my 4.8. same cam, same turbo, stock intakes, same exhaust... almost identical HP at the same psi level. the difference was TQ...cubes will never short you on TQ.... that is your real world comparision....

as for everything destroys the BB454 again your wrong. take an older 454 it doesn't compare one bit to the modern day 454. have to be little more clarified on that statement.

also granted ppl dont believe in dyno numbers and etc. but go look at hate dynolist on tech. you'll see 346s making more power then 408s with the same parts. perfect example. L92s on a 408 make no kind of power take a 377 with exact same heads and cam and it makes power.. a local 383 with a synergy cam and stock l92s made more power then a 408 with same cam and heads. both had same headers, both had same trannys both had same exhaust. both tuned by same guy both in camaros....the 383 car was much faster and stronger
OK george... A 408 with l92 heads doesn't make as much as a 383 with l92 heads? Why would that be? they both are essentially the same motor minus the bore and stroke. So what your telling us is that bigger cube lsx's are a waist of money? And as for the 454bb I was referring to the ss truck version... the one that would apply to us.
And as for your motor vs Parish's... you have an 88mm turbo right? didnt parish have a 76mm? Same psi doesn't = same airflow... you know that. Plus he made over 1000wheel tq and made it into the 10's with an auto. Your numbers were with a standard. On 14psi he made 637/716... what did you make? 699/555 at 16psi you gave up over 160wheel tq.
And as for the head/cam motor combo thing, It has been verified that a 5.7 with an asa cam puts down 380-400whp and a 4.8 with the same cam only makes about 315-325whp. Now this is with stock heads. With higher compression heads, you might see another 15whp... But thats not were the smaller motors lack, its all in the tq. 100tq is the difference. 100tq is a lot for .9 cubic inches.
And lastly the spell checker is free, its right above the smilies to the right. Peace brother...
