Youre retarded ricky, new trucks dont have a break in period unless you do work to them, we're not driving 86' short wides, and it used to be drive it 500-1000 miles change the oil and you're good, thats like pre loading on protien you gotta drink 10 cups a day to build it up in your system...... quit reading bull****......maybe if you did the work on your truck you would know this kinda stuff
Well Mr. G--I think your cam has a few more miles than that... But yeah, you are right G...you should change it early for the very first oil change, then once that one is done, go at the normal rate. I don't change my oil until the message center on my truck tells me to. The oil life indicator on our trucks measures how hard we drive it--so sometimes it might say to change the oil sooner than the "recommended" 3000 mile mark--which mine does each time. If you drive easy and only on the highway, you may be about to get 7,000 miles out of it...

Original motor and rear end.
Replaced the trans about 15000 ago...because I WANTED to not because it needed it.

These things will last forever if you take care of them the right way.
Yes, true T-RAV. If you just do the simple maintenance (and especially with how reliable our LS motors are), you can get 500,000 modded miles on it...

Oh really? It that what changing your oil is suppose to do???? Damn, I NEVER knew that. Thanks for the info Ricky!!!

What??? Really? I think someone else told me about that...
