    what are thedifences in the 4l60e vs 4l65e i know the 65 is a better tranny but how do i know what i have

    Normally, on the side of the transmission it will have a casting number of 60e or 65e. The 65 will have 5 gears in the planetary gear sets, much stronger. They also have a better set of stock clutches in the 3-4 packs.

    You can check your glove box option list for RPO code "M32". If it is there you have the 4L65E trans.
