I got some extra cash for Christmas and can't wait to spend it. I know Allen gave me some cam specs, but I've misplaced it all. so, whats best?? Cam & springs, stall?? Where is the best place to get it from? Thanks guys.

save it Cam, headers, and stall all at once. If you can't afford it all now wait and do it all at one time.

I'd start with a solid/dependable posi/LSD unit. Gotta get the power to the ground first. Think about if you want to change gears while it's apart. What rear gears do you currently have and what diameter tires?

BURN MONEY BURN. I HOPE IT FALLS OUT OF YOUR POCKET AND INTO MINE. HEE HEE! RED IS RIGHT A SOLID REAR FIRST, THEN A STALL, AND THEN THE CAM. I WISH I WOULD'VE STARTED THAT WAY.

My truck has a rear dif lock. As of now, gettin the power to the ground hasn't been an issue - it hooks up well. I'll get back to you on the tire size.

Around the time I got my truck tuned, Allen mentioned that he recently tuned a crate 6.0L and got a significant amt of power out of it with his tune and a comp cam - anyone have any idea of what cam he used?? seemed like 224? What springs go with?? 918s?

Is a 3000 stall too much for a daily driver?

    Gears are 3.73.

Is the rear end i have sufficient?????

If you have a factory gov-loc and use it for performance, it's just a matter of time before it breaks. If you swap it out now with a strong aftermarket unit you may be able to sell it on Ebay to recover some costs. Once it breaks, usually taking the ring and pinion with it leaving you stranded, it's worthless for anything short of a boat anchor.

3000 is fine for a DD. I have been running a 3600 in mine, a very loose 3600 Vig.

Look in your glove box or on your window sticker if you have it for "G80". If you have one, I'd replace it ASAP with something better. I like Auburn differentials. Others like true-trac. Others go for Detroit Locker. I am not sure what it would cost to have one installed. I've seen buy-it-now prices for the Auburn from $250-$300 for new units on Ebay. I've seen them at the store for over $425. Gears are always good, too. Any tire 32" or taller I like 4.56 gears, shorter tires get 4.10s, taller than 35s get 4.88 gears in my world(an expensive place to live but we drive wild rides there and gasoline pours freely at every corner station unless you drive a car with a foreign brand or are a self professed tree hugger).
