I need some help??

Im not getting to much out of the other Truck Forums, so I will try here..

I put the new tranny in my truck and it is having all sorts of issues.. It wont shift into 2nd manually and it wont downshift into 2nd either driving down the road.. What do you think it is ??

You do have the speedo sensor in and it's working okay? The large electrical plug in making good contact? Next question, put it in OD and accelerate, does it shift good through all gears? Is the lockup working in the torque convertor properly? When in OD, if at about 45 mph will it downshift to 2nd gear if you floor it?

It does everything but ..

Also, it wont go into 2nd if I manaully do it while im rolling ..

Sounds like a valve body problem or the 2-4 servo assembly was done incorrectly. Valve body... the 3-2 downshift valve may be stuck or the 4-3 sequence valve body channel may be blocked. Servo... cover retaining omitted or left out, 4th gear apply piston damaged or misassembled, servo inner housing damaged or misassembled.

yeah, a guy I have do all my trannys... This is my first 4L60e I had him do...

I&#39;d sure take it back to him. If he has a scanner he can narrow it down. They hook into the OBD2 port and put the transmission through its paces to see if everything is working correctly.

When i had my guy but my shift kit in he busted a seal on the 2-3 servo and it would not shift in or out of 2nd.
