Is there an official list or requirements as far as this goes. Just curious since I will have a stock block and heads 5.3 in my truck soon. Would love to go for the "fastest na 5.3". Anyone know?

I'm not sure of the rules of what n/a are supposed to be but I know Bluecajun and VV8 have the fastest 5.3L trucks out there. You'll have the benefits of a lighter truck to compete against their times.

The fastest truck list is here. It used to show them as a list, supposedly. It's never worked for me.

performancetruck.net's list

Grey Silver seems to have the lowest ETs at 11.77 but he's using NOS, heads/cam, headers and who know what else.

Thats with a 200 shot. He can't seem to keep a driveshaft in it.

I'd say, stock displacement, no gas, or boost of any kind. Cams, headers, heads, seems like those are all allowed.

N/A is all motor. So what ever you can do on the motor is n/a. This means no nos, no FI. IMPO

If that includes heads, then there will certainly be faster trucks coming.

most agree to stock heads just a cam and supporting mods

Not really a fair fight sicne your truck is going to be a good 400#s lighter.

this is true, it is lighter. But hey, I'm a big guy.
I know if it was tightly regulated my truck wouldnt count.
Either way, I would love to see it be one of the fastest w/o N20 or boost.

The plan is still the same; '92 rcss, '05 5.3 with stock block and heads, 228/232 110 cam, 3200 Vigialnte in a 4L65, ported TB, 4:10's, a good exhaust, and tuned here at the shop. Need to pick up some DR's or slicks too.
