Went to the PINKS! filming at the Texas Motorplex Saturday and made a few runs before they told me no more, too fast, get a helmet.

Weighed in at 4725 running 87 octane...

Full street dress running the 18" Corvette rims and Nitto 404s

Made 9 passes with the slowest being 14.9 at 98.87 due to spinning, letting up and spinning again.

    R/T .454
    60' 2.007
    330 5.670
    1/8 8.756
    MPH 79.65
    1000' 11.438
    1/4 13.702
    MPH 99.38

Best MPH for the day was 100.54.

I stayed as long as I could but got cold to the bone and left after the third filming. The racing was more exciting than the filming could have ever been. They had you dial into an 866 phone number to listen to the negotiations at the Pit Circle, as they called it. Snow mobiles were neat to watch drag racing on the strip. Getting to watch a professional racer hole out a piston on NOS makes me feel better about doing the same thing on my engine. All the compliments guys paid to the ragged old truck were worth the admission. A lot of guys stopped off in the pit area to see the Nitrous injected Big block they thought I had in the truck. BTW, yeah, the V10 Dodge trucks are fast but 13.74 won't beat me. I found this out 3 out of 3 times.

Sounds better driving home without that "Blow Through?"

Can't wait to see you get it dialed in

Kickin ass Greg! I can't wait to make a few passes with you one day. I think we'd run pretty close without the juice.

I'm staying off the bottle until I can get a dedicated fuel system for the NOS. The Walbro is supposedly only good for 550 HP so trying to coax another 300 HP will never work with the stock setup. I wonder if going up to a larger throttle body will help. Even the 6.0L LS2 gets a 90mm. I think my 6.7L deserves a little larger TB than that even. Maybe a 100mm?
