This sounds fun. A car show, test and tune and filming of PINKS!

sounds fun, although i heard it sucked last time PINKS was in town. u can read all over the ls1tech.com boards and id say 95% of the people over there said it was a crock of shit. idk seems fun tho, just depends on how they conduct it.

maybe that's why they are having the car show with it. if you read the website, there is test and tune before-hand. Maybe they'll run them one after another. With 15 minutes between passes, it could get old in a hurry if they do one pair all the way through each time around. That would be potentially 1.25 hrs per pair of cars minimum. That's slow-assed racing in my books.

yeah i just know that there were people that were pissed off at how it was ran and conducted. basically they said u better have a drag car to be on the show, otherwise dont bother coming out. they stated that although it was supposed to be for daily driver cars they only allowed 9 second cars to run in the later part of the ngiht. idk sounds stupid to me, but a car show would add a lil to the intrigue.

The first time Pinks was there it wasnt filming the actual show. It was more of a Bonus thing and help choose racers for this filming. This time they are filming the actual show. I think it said they will be filiming 3 shows tomorrow night. So maybe it wouldnt be too slow of action.

I'm going to make a few passes before the new tune and injectors get installed, just to see what it does. I'll be there with bells on. Hell, Sunday is the last day of their season, VW drag racing! I used to go to every bug show. Those little cars will dust most others at the track, they're so light. When a 4 cylinder squareback wagon runs a 8.5 sec 1/4 mile pass I have to pay my respects. now, if only I can get down the track in the sub 14 second area.

Good luck! Better be there early! There were so many people there last time that most people that arrived later than 7am only got 1 run in. Like some people have mentioned, there was a lot of down time with absolutely no racing. They wanted you to spend time buying that expensive concession stand food and drink. All in all, besides the downtime, it was pretty cool though. Maybe you'll get several runs in. Let us know how it goes.
