OK, I'm definitely in town this week so I'm going to finally be able to make it down to Ennis Friday night and see how it does in the 1/4.

    Anyone else interested in going?

I had a question also...I know we don't really need to do burnouts on street tires, but on the launch, is the track prepped so traction isn't an issue at the staging lane, or am I going to be breaking the tires loose if I just mash the pedal? I plan on running a few different ways, but just want to know what to expect.

The track should be prepped pretty good. Motorplex knows good starts. I'd air down the tires to 15 lbs.

You dont really need to smoke the tires, but I would do a small burnout to clean them off and dry them out if you go through the water.

I won't make any promises I can't keep, but, I'll certainly try! I'm going to do an install out in New Jersey on Thursday and might be able to wind it up early enough Friday to get out there Friday night.

Where do you want to meet at out there if I can make it? If I'm able to make it, I'll retry the truck since that terrible 14.6 ..... I'm certain it will be the only dark blue one with a wide tan stripe down the sides.

Hope to see you there....would be good to meet you!

Thanks Greg. I'll probably do my first run "as is" - just like I drive it on the street. Then I'll start adjusting tire pressure, 2wd/AWD, etc.

Yeah if anyone decides to go down from the DFW area, let me know and we'll meet up somewhere convenient for everyone.

"terribile 14.6"...man I hope I beat that now!
