    More questions

I need to hookup the shifter linkage from the column to the trans. Problem is I don't have, or know, where the parts went off of the truck I started with (think they went bye bye w/ the engine).

Will the stock truck parts work? If so I can go to the junk yard and pick up what I need.

If anyone has a pic that would be great also.

    thanks

98hd...Don't know if your '91 project came with a cable coming off your factory shift lever & column like my '96, but if it did, it worked great just the way it came. There is a little bracket that bolts to the tranny that holds the cable stationary & then just connect the end of the cable(which is slightly adjustable as well) to the shift lever on the tranny. I retained the original trucks tranny shift lever, which is different than the F-Body shift lever. So, I guess the answer is...Yes, the original shift cable will work with your installation. Gar

Not doing a rachet shifter, must use the stock one on the column

Mine did not use a cable originally, it used rods to connect the column to the trans lever.

If you still have your old stuff you can make it work. Is it the lever for the tranny you are missing? If so a quick trip to the junkyard may yield what you need. I used the existing linkage on mine, just had to adjust it a bit. I'll try to remember to take some pics of my setup this weekend and post them up.

My 93 bolted right to the 4L60E without any issues. Didn't even have to adjust it.

Cool, thanks. I needed to know that everything would work before I went hunting at the junkyards for everything.
