I was reading my window sticker from my truck the other day. I noticed it said i have 3.23 gears. I always hear about you guys talking about changing them. Are 3.23 a good or bad thing? I get alot of ideas and advise from yall. I was wondering if its something I would have to consider swaping out.

I'm not very familiar with gears but from what I've read i would think 3.23 gears would kill your 1/4 time. Maybe step it up to 3.73 or 4.10.

Depends on what you want. If you want a great highway truck the gears are great. If you want quick times you need 4.10s or 4.56s with those size tires.

I thought you got new shoes on that truck? Why the old pic in the signature.

Yeah, I don't think 3.23's are necessarily a bad gear. My truck came stock with 3.08's and it was a V6 . It was a cruising mother though, I could go 80 mph and not crack 2000 rpm with a 26.5" tall tire. If you want better accelleration though I would go with some 4.10's or the like.
