i was down in corpus this past weekend helping my buddys sister move into her new apartment. anyway i talked to one of his friends, and he was wanting to sell his syclone for like 7k. but i talked to my friend and he was like, if you give him 5k cash he will take it. it runs, has a few paint imperfections, wee bit of rust where the bumper meets the fender, battery needs to be charged, a tuneup and it will run. anyone think this is a good deal? i was thinking if he was still selling it in a few years by the time i get out of college, then id jump all over it. i wanted to save my money for the swap in my truck. but how badass would that be? having a syclone and a fullsize with a swap.

Yeah, then you'd have two trucks that you wished you had an LSx based engine in.

Buy it, you can probably sell it for a lot more. Those things are pretty badass.

My friend has a Typhoon that he was aking 10,000 for and it's pretty clean. I was thinking about buying it and installing and LS1 like Greg said. I remember when the Sy Ty's first came out. I went to test drive one in 92 and they couldn't get the damn thing to start. I probably would have bought it if they got it started. $28,000.00 and 0-60 in 6 sec. the Syclone was 0-60 in 4 sec and 210 mph in a mile. $7000.00 I'd buy it if I were you!

look it over good, parts are getting hard to find, most of all the high needs stuff is gone from the dealer. all aftermarket now. and now that they are all getting old it seems like they nickel dime a customer to death. except that nothing on a syclone cost a nickle or a dime. thats the hardest tune ive ever done is on one of those rigs. also had to do valve setm seals, that sucked!.... the price sounds good though, they are seeming to gold a great collector value, they go for like 10,000 beet to deth up hear...i took the front drive shaft out on one to diag a front axle noise and drove it on the road (do not do that because you will burn up the vicous coupler in the t-case) that f'er put down the badist longest most nasty burnout i've ever seen in a truck!!!! it went into 3ed gear and would have kept going if i didnt get scared.

i wonder where the best place to find parts for the syclones and typhoons would be. dont the syclones run like low 13s stock?
