Well I had to haul some crap off to the dump today with my dad. They have this new station they just built, you pull in and it weighs the truck with the load and everything. I guess you weigh when you get in and leave so they know how much shit you dumped. Oh well, the truck weighed in, me, my dad and 100 pounds of crap at 5440. When we left we were at 5340, so minus me and my dad the truck barely weighs 5000 lbs! I though with a ex cab Z71 it would weigh in the neighborhood of 5400-5500 at least without anyone in it. Oh well, its still a heavy ass truck, just not as heavy of an ass as i thought it was!

We figured out mine at work, if you take the gvwr minus the payload rating, that is how much your truck would weigh with out accessories and whatever that was added on. So mine came in at 4750. But course, that can be wrong. So yeah, they aren't that heavy for a big truck. I found out a hummer h3 is rated at 4850. Thats heavy for something smaller, skinner than ourtrucks, and is powered by a 220hp 5 cyl. No wonder it is so freaking slow. It took 11 seconds to get to 60 and 17.7 for the quarter. That was in motortrend not to long ago.

My 2004 ECSB weighs in at 4940 with a full tank, the car seat in back and without a driver. I had it weighed at the local truck scales for free.

Weighed mine on the truck scales at the refinery where I work. Full weight - rear bumper + 50lb (at least) bed mat + me in it = 4,260lbs. I'm 200 even.
