its been a long road...the oilfield is a hard row to hold if you can understand that...gone away from home for up to 60-90 days at a time...leaving the home front to the wife to take care of everything that comes up...raising the kids almost by herself, school functions, taking care of live stock, fixing the broke water line, calling the whoever to get something fixed or fixing it herself cause your out making a living so the family will have as good of or a better life then you had...it takes a hell of a wife to understand and to put up with all the solo time alone with nothing but a telephone between us all this time.....why am i typing all this stuff..........today is our 27th anversary and i love her to death...im glad i pick the right one the first time ( she picked me first but dont tell anybody) any ways...happy av to us!!!

Congrats! Try to get home to be with the family as much as possible. I took a cut in pay myself so I can be with my family. It's tight but I get to see the kids grow up and be a part of their lives.

Congrats bud8fan. She's gotta be gr8 (sorry..had to do it because of your webname).

One of my best (and most truthful) lines I ever threw on my wife was, "Honey, I don't know what great thing I did in my life to get you.....and I don't want to know what screwed up thing you did to land someone like me!!!" --- she liked it.

Of course I also got her with the really smooth one (sarcasm), "Baby, the only way your legs could look any better would be if they were wrapped around my back"

Happy Anniversary (not adversary...he hehe)..... I spent my 10th one working on a system all night long....she was cool and took it really well. It just confirmed to me she understood that our family is what I'm working for.

    Take care.

I think that is a record for an oilfield hand married to the same woman. I also work offshore, as a matter of fact I am in the Gulf of Mexico right now. Sounds like you got a good woman there you better hold on to that one. Congrats.
