When I finished installing my nelson tune, I read the instructions and it said I should probably get a crank relearn. So, I called to the dealership and asked if they could do it for me. The service rep told me that there is no such thing as a crank relearn and that I just got hustled by nelson. She said that if I got a new computer, but still needed something fixed, then it wasn't right. I just said whatever and showed up anyway. When I got there, she said "is that your truck? if you drove it here, then you don't need any pcm work" I tried to tell her that I changed the pcm and wanted a crank relearn to be safe. She then said "well when you buy a custom PCM they come with the crank relearn built in" When I asked to see a technician, she told me that the tech wouldn't help me either. So I just left the dealership pissed off. But I decided to go back and show her on paper that it said to get a crank relearn. She refused to look at the paper, and instead called someone to kick me out of the dealership. As soon as I told him what I needed and why I needed it, he laughed and said lets go take a look. Less than 3 minutes later, I had my crank relearn done, and had made a new friend at the dealership. He told me that next time I come in, I should look for him, because "she don't know what she's talkin about". Man, I hate when they hire people who don't know anything about cars to work on them. Just like Autozone. They tried to tell me that my 5.3 was a 350 and I couldn't use Gen III header gaskets on it and that it wouldn't run without platinum spark plugs. Has that stuff happened to anybody else?
