Well a week after I put the cam in my 5.3 222/224 112lsa Comp and all the supporting valvetrain stuff it died on me. So picked up a 6L block and ordered about 6grand worth of parts.

I ordered a forged eagle 408 rotating assembly, Lunati 237/242 .595 .595 112lsa , Jesel Sportsman roller rockers, SCE Titan head gaskets, ARP head stud kit, ARP main stud kit, roller timing chain, ported LS6 oil pump, DART LS1 heads(Ill have one of the first productions sets), corsa sport and last but not least a set of custom esclade engine covers.

Im pulling the 5.3 Wed and I will be selling the comp cam and I am selling everything off the 6L.

Ill be selling a set of 5.3 heads, set of 6L heads, stock 6L cam, pistons and rods of the 6L and 5.3, cranks and two sets of factory rockers and I also have a set of Comp Pro Magnum Roller rockers they have ARP studs and pushrod guide plates. They are very stout but they are 1.75 ratio(stock 1.7) and they will make my cam a bit too big so I went with the jezels. Email me if you want dibs on anything or questions about any of it. I will be posting picks and final prices on what I want for everything porbably this weekend so check the classifieds.

probably something to do with too much cam for high ratio rockers? Coil bind is at .600 on 918s and much lower on stock or LS6 springs. .595 lift on 1.75 ratio rockers is .613 lift. That's pushing the limits.

alright well I am trying to learn as I go here. I have a 5.3 in my 68 pickup that weighs in around 4000 pounds with a TB converter. It runs strong now with the nelson tune but I do wnat more (eventually) I have a set of 2003 ls6 springs and push rods is this too much (using stock rockers) for these springs and secondly is this cam too much for my street driven truck. it is not my daily driver but since I have gotten it in and running it has been driven quite a bit. obviously emissions well they just dont matter.
I originally thought I wanted somethign smaller like the TR220.
I just realized I have jacked this thread...sorry

The LS6 cam is a nice one for the street daily driver. SDPC2000.com has the LS6 springs for about $55 for a full set.
