Question what are the 5.3s and tranny combos selling for?

Just curious what the 5.3 LS engines complete with PCM and trannies are going for, thanks!

depends where you buy them. Here in TX where they're a dime a dozen it's about $1200 and places where trucks are rare then its $2800.
See my truck data in the "My Garage" section here... http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/my-ga...tml#post191709

A local yard I deal with is almost giving 4.8's and 5.3's away. Anywhere from $100 to $400 depending on miles. Add 300 for the tranny and 150 for harness. We buy the core 6.0l motors for $300 to $500 but its a gamble. Sometimes you get a bad block and sometimes you get a bad lifter.

    i paid 300 for a 53 long block, paid 475 for a 48 long block yrs ago i paid 250 for a 7000 mile 48

id say you can have anywhere from 800 for a dropout to 2500 ....all depends on market

I've always bought all my motors on Craigslist, never gotten a bad one yet!! Had to drive over 100 miles each way, but it was worth it.
