    Ls1/ls2 frankenstein?

What do u guys think about this: my bro has an 05 c6, and he's getting a entire top end kit from vengeance racing, basically replacing from cam on up....he's giving me his stock ls2 parts from the vette. My truck is an 06 4.8L, typical bolt ons and tune....i checked around and his ls2 parts will bolt on my motor with no mods neccessary...what do u think the increase in hp/tq will be? im looking for advice and opinions here. parts that he's giving me are: cam, pushrods, complete 243 heads (stock), intake manifold, throttle body, all from his 05 c6 vette. Will my tuned ecm run this for awhile til I retune it?

first things first, a 4.8 is not an LS1. lol sounds like a pretty sweet deal though! I'm sure you'll definitely feel an increase in power!

youre going to drop compression, the ls2 cam is same as the 01 Ls6 cam. Ls2 intake will lose you bottomend vs the truck one. If you mill the heads then it will benefit from it
    2002 Lightning - GT headed 5.5Litre w/ Twin 7665s
    2002 Silverado - 427Lsx w/ Twin gt4202s
    2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger
    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance
    2014 Xsport- 3.5 Eco boost
    412 Motorsports

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

Ok yes, its iron block smaller bore n stroke make it an LR4, but its basically an ls1 (based off same design). Stock cam specs on the vette are 204/211 mid .500s lift so im considering a diff cam, but cant beat FREE 243 heads.

Pretty sure you'll need an f-body water pump as well. Or mod the truck upper neck.
