couple questions ls to obs conversion

hey guys i am gathering the parts for my build. it want to have as much as i can before i start the swap. right now i was wondering about rad hoses. will the one from the original truck work or do i need ones from a donour truck. the second question is about the headers. ya i know another question about headers for a 4x4 obs truck. i see all the guys say run the pacesetter 70-2265. but all the guys on here are running them on 5.3s from what i gather. i was just on their website and it says they are for the 4.8/5.3 but not 6.0l is there any reall difference between the motors or reasons why they wouldnt work on a 6.0l? my final question is i see alot of guys running the adaptors for the oil pressure and coolant temp. is this because they are at a awkward position or threads are different. my dash consists of all aftermarket gauges so i am not worried about my dash working.
    thanks
    Drew

6L is dimensionally the same on the outside. Adapters for the sending units are needed to implement use of the originals on a Gen3/4 engine. All Gen3/4 engines have metric threads and it is unlikely that your aftermarket gauge sending units are going to screw right into the block.

I used the top hose from the ls truck and cut my obs lower hose and made it fit. Im running the pacesetters and they fit great. Should work the same in your 6.0.

thanks guys where is the best place to get the adapters for the sensors? and i will order the headers later on this week. that would work out good for the rad hoses because i have to top rad hose and i have new hoses on the original motor.

i dont know if i got lucky or not but for my lq4 i did the harness myself and used the gen3 oil sender. The oil pressure is accurate as far as i can tell. all my gauges and such work just fine. for the coolant temp sender, most ppl said to get the adapter from s@p but when i called them the adapter was 12 and for shipping the guy told me the minimum was 20 so it was 35+ tax. I said screw it and used the fbody sensor. its a rare one to find so i went with a new one from the auto parts store. they only came in 97 and 98 i believe. its a 3 pin sensor. two for the pcm and 1 for the factory gauge. if you cant get the pig tail, the 3 pin wire for the tbi is exactly the same which is what i used. this sensor costed me less than 30 new and it saved me the hassle of running the temp sender to the passenger side. I wish i knew about the headers before i finished my swap. everyone told me the schoenfield wouldnt fit so i stuck with the factory manifolds
