    862 heads from start to finish... almost lol

    here are a couple of pictures i took from start to finish well kinda finish on porting a set of 862 heads. they will recieve a valve upgrade and be flow benched once done


    stock



    120 grit



    400 grit



    600-1000 grit and a mirror finish



    same is being done to the exhaust. this head alone has taken over 12 hrs of work lol

    the texture of the tunnel is very important to keep the fuel mixture tumbling. What you have the will lead to puddling and droplets forming, IIRC.

    So should he put the intake back to like a 400 grit texture.

    exhaust is nice to have that smooth years ago when ppl ran carbs the texture was very important, today with the pressures of fuel injection it isnt as critcial

    I can't wait until they start with direct port injection on the LS series heads. Talk about opening up a ton of HP possibilities. Might need a bigger pump.

    thanks guys im almost done with the head im hoping to get at least 260+cfm @ 600lift on the intake and 200+cfm@600 lift on the exhaust
