    Well, I guess the Heartbeat truck got some valvetrain damage last time at the track, about a month ago. I replaced a bent pushrod on number 5 cylinder but I guess I must have missed one or two with minor bends in them. This must be hurting my performance since my ETs are off by .1 now, best of 9.31 on about 15 runs last night, and I hear a bit of ticking during startup. I guess it's time to put in the new cam, LS6 lifters, Thunder Racing pushrods, 2002 heads and coils. I was hoping to put that off for a while but I guess I have forced myself to get off my arse and get to work on it.

    Observations at the track last night.....
    Best ETs for stock vehicles
    Titan truck.....9.94
    Lightning....8.92
    Harley Crew Cab...8.90
    2005 Nissan full size sedan....9.00 Not sure which make
    2003 C1500.....10.5
    others
    bunch of turbo'd ricers running a best of 7.98
    Hyabusa(sp?)....6.54

    I'm hoping that is true. I was talking to the owner of the Titan and he was glad the stock 5.3 Silverado was there.....the only truck he was able to beat all night. I got my arse handed to me by a hopped up ElCamino with a big block that peg-legged in the bleach box.
