    ? About a 80e swap

    I am doing a 80 swap and I am wanting to do the bigger 3150 u joint I know that you have to change the slip yoke on the transmmission and the pinion yoke on the rear end but what do u doo with the drive shaft do you have to replace it or what are the opitions

    it's going in a 01 ext cab with a 2 piece driveshaft

    U dont have to change the rear yoke just the slip yoke. IIRC Thats all you need to do to the driveshaft

    Yeah I know u don't have to change the pinion yoke but I'm wanting to run the 3150 u joints like out of a 1 ton rather that th 3110 of the 1/2 ton

    If you want to run the 3150 yokes you will have the get a new driveshaft or have the ends put on yours.

    they'll have to weld the appropriate 1350 yoke onto your driveshaft if its not that size, already. Sometimes it takes the driveshaft shop a couple days to get the smaller tubing yoke like the one that is on my OBS shaft. The shop cut off the smaller 1330 that was on mine and welded up a 1350 yoke. This thing never broke another joint after that and installing the stronger non-greasable joint.
