    Need a little help guys

Well i just pritty much finished my converter swap in my truck, everything went smoothly till right at the end. My troubles are that when i mated the tran to the motor every thing looked fine, it seem flush with the motor, so i began two put the 4 bottom bolt on, then i went to the top on the motor to put them in. well by mistake i put a bolt in the 7 middle hole and began to tighten it, when all of a sudden i heard a bang. That piece of the trans snap right off, so that led me two believe that the tran was not all the way seated down. well when i look through the bottom is sit flush with the motor. then separates at the to just a tiny bit, what the deal here? also im having a hard time getting my tran dip stick in. Need some advice guys.

pull it back apart, pull the pump and take it apart and make sure you didn't break it internally. It sounds like it's messed up. You should not have had the problems you're describing.

i installed mine today, appearantly you use to much force and didnt use a tranny jack to level the tranny during install? first off you need to make sure the converter is seated properly, ( appearantly it wasnt ) its 3 clicks from the time you slip it onto the input shaft.i thought i had mine seated all the way but as i pulled the tranny up i noticed the bolts were getting to tight to turn ( light force) so i checked the converter and noticed it was already mated to the flexplate, soooo i took the 2 start bolts back out pulled tranny back and spun the converter more until it finally seated the final time then everything went smooth from there

When i mated the tran to the motor the converter was not bolted to the flex plate. The converter spun freely and and was not tight against the flex plat, so the converter is seated. Im thinking that i have to unbolt the 4 bottom one and jack the rear of the trans up to get it aligned properly.

I really dont see anything bad from the trany, i mean i pulled and replaced the converter and the tran just wasnt sitting right. And yea i didn't have a trans jack so we improvised.

Well bad news! As i was pulling off all the bolts from the trans all the trans bolt mounts came with them lol. So now im going to need to new trans. I guess it was even close to be seated down all the way. No i was thinking could tci gave me the wrong converter since ino that the early years have like a long crank or somthing like that.
