Off to the track...but not SAR

Well boys, 24 Hours of LeMons starts tonight. The 24 Hours of LeMons

Fear the skunk...Pepe le Pew le Car FTW!!!

Yes, that is a road-racing bred Renault le Car, circa 1982 with a tire-melting 55hp! And yes, it is covered in fur. And yes, that is a factory 1" exhaust pipe stepped up to 2 1/2" glasspack. Sounds like an underwater lawnmower! And yes, that is a hood mounted tach.

Sorry I will miss SAR this year, but I will still be racing! Special thanks to DBRODS for building the cage & other safety equipment!

Well, after 8 hours & 45 minutes of racing in a 9 hour session I hate to inform you that Pepe did a slow roll. He landed on his feet, but it is instant disqualification. We even managed to drive it back to tech inspection, but we were toast.

That has to be one of the best times I have ever had in a race car...even if it was a 55 HP Le Car!!!!
