Maybe so man. But I garantee you won't have the luck that I have had so far. Here's the timeline:
late December- feel some vibration and think it's carrier bearing. Wrong!
Early January- ujoint breaks and thrashes the pinion yoke, bends drive shaft. $400 later I'm done. WRONG!
Two weeks ago- rear end is growling a bit on deceleration. GRRRRR
Last week I have reliable fix the crusher sleeve because I'm tired of fixing it myself at this point. Finally finished after another $90. That's what I get for thinking.
That Friday as I'm leaving work the trans starts slipping. %#*£ me right?
Today I go to rieds to get it looked at. Still unsure of the route I'm going to take I go home to eat. On my way back to work it starts slipping a little worse. I hurry over to rieds after I just got back to work and sure enough, I barely make it there.

On the bright side I will have a fresh tranny with vette servo and hd2 shift kit. And I don't have to jack with it. All I have to do now is sit and worry because I don't like anyone but me working on my cars.
