Need help with PowerGlide/Converter NO GEARS

Hey guys, not sure what's going on with the ol race truck, but maybe some of you can shine some light on the issue.

Problem: I have no PRDL, no gears engage.

Last year, the trans was fine, I didn't run it much, but it did engage and move.
Here's what I did. I redid my entire setup and moved the engine back about 3-4inches. That doesn't affect the trans / engine mating together.

When I put my engine and trans in, I do what I normally do, seat the converter and simply install the trans. I'm using a PG trans and NeilChance converter. I'm using a TCI flexplate.
I went ahead and mated the flexplate and converter with no spacers, which moves the converter about 3/16" forward.
I got all my stuff done and started the engine. I had no gears, nothing would engage.
I then remembered that I had washers between the flexplate and converter. I added the washers, which are only 1/16" thick.
I then started the engine and I had all gears, even did a burn out and test drives.
SO, the truck sits for a couple weeks and I start it up, I have no gears now.
I thought it was strange that only a 1/16" washer would allow the converter to turn the pump.

With the engine/trans together, I can move the converter forward about 3/16, which is still acceptable, but I place a washer between the converter and flywheel. The washer is 1/16 thick, which allows the converter to move forward only 1/8". More than acceptable.
Most transmission places are saying only allow the converter to move forward less than 3/16, so I figure 1/8 is better.

I just pulled the trans tonight to check it out, and see if the snout of the converter was mucked up, it's clean, and I can see inside the trans that the two pump ears are good, not damaged at all.

So I put it together again tonight and still no gears.

I'm assuming the 1/8" I pull the converter forward is pulling the snout out of the trans pump.

    What does this mean?

    thanks,
    allen

Did someone steal all the fluid out of the pan?

First, I would check that you have fluid flowing out the cooler lines. Next I would drop the pan and make sure the linkage didn't come apart going to the valve body. The park prawl isn't part of the valvebody linkage so it would still come out of gear.

Ok, I can check that. I got a few minutes before I leave, I'll drain my fresh fluid

Ok, pulled one line off one of the cooler, put a dump line on the cooler and had both lines in the trash can.
It DEFINITELY has pressure, damn!! Squirted out about 3 quarts by the time I started the truck and checked it.
    So it has pressure.

    You think it's the linkage?

    thanks RED!!

LOL, it's full, I should have mentioned that, I knew it was gonna get asked.

But seriously, I fill it up until I think it's full enough, go through the gears, fill, etc... But I'm noticing it doesn't take much fluid and won't register lower on the dipstick, usually meaning something ain't pumping fluid.
But yes, I did overfill and continue to fill until I thought there'd be enough to engage gears.
The trans does have a deep pan, The stick shows it's just over the hash marks, kind of full but nothing to be concerned about.

If the linkage was good then your converter may have just blown the stator.
