how can i make my truck sound like a corvette...ive put an exhaust on it but what would i have to do to make it sound like a corvette...do corvettes have a resonator...o and what does an x pipe do

x pipe is a way of giving the exhaust back pressure to keep your low end up. it replaces an h or y pipe. someone correct me if im wrong.

What makes a Vette sound like a Vette is that its a Vette....the motor, exhaust manifolds, exhaust routing, muffler type, etc.

There is not REAL way to make it sound like one--EVEN if you use a Vette style muffler. Just go with what is proven on the trucks...LT headers, 3" ORY...to a Magnaflow/Borla/Corsa muffler and 2.5" tail pipes...

OK, you're wrong. An x-pipe (or h-pipe) has nothing to do with keeping back pressure up. It is used to equalize pressure pulses between engine banks on dual-exhaust-equipped vehicles. It will also smooth out the exhaust note a little. Also note that it does not replace a y-pipe. It merely provides a conduit for the pressure pulses between banks.

GM has spent millions of dollars to give the 'Vette it's sound. I honestly think the 6.2 Escalades sound better though, and god damn do they ever move out for a luxury bus.
