    I've Had It!!!!!!!!!!

October 31st: we adopt a dog from the humane society.
November 2nd: she pees and poops in her crate and them continues to roll around in it.
At least once a week(sometimes 3 or 4 times) this dog craps in her crate. A week ago she pissed in our bed and the week before that she peed on my couch. I am up typing this at 3 am because she peed in our bed while were @&$?ing sleeping in it. I hate to be the next person to give up on this dog but when I'm out a good $3500 in furniture, that's where I draw the line. She will be on her way back to the humane society tomorrow. I hate to do it, but we have tried everything imagineable to try and housebreak this dog to no success. Sorry, I just needed to rant.

Eh thats the thing about animals... you get one and let it live in the house, you pretty much become one whether you like it or not. Sucks though bro...

Yeah, unfortunately if they are willing to pee in their own confined space, it is a hard one to work with.

Thats the number one way to train a dog for being house broken. Put in cage at night and then first thing in the AM take outside to pee. Maybe it has a kidney issue though. My buds dog peed non-stop, only to find out its kidneys were shutting down. Hope thats not the situation.

I don't know what the situation is, but I have worked on this dog to house break it for a month and half. She knows where to go and what to do, but if she doesn't want to go outside she will go run and hide somewhere and do her business there. She crate trained well and even knows to tell us she needs out. I hate to give up on the dog because she is a good and sweet dog aside from the fact she is too stubborn to go outside sometimes. She is also causing trouble with my Border Collie and he is too good of a dog to let an outsider cause him stress. I housebroke and crate trained him in a matter of days. I know he is a MUCH smarter dog than this one but I have never had this much trouble with a dog, even some of the dumbest ones I've owned.

if the crate is too big they will shit in it. a dog should only have enough room to turn around and lay down in their crate. if thats the case, and the dog is still doing its business in the crate, ship the bitch back, or make it an outside dog.

Werd. My dogs stay in the yard. I have a larger than average yard, so they can run around all the time. The only time a dog slept in my house was when he was a puppy. As soon as he was big enough to escape the kitchen, and get into the wifes shoes... he moved outside. I think its better for them anyway. Dogs are supposed to be outside.
