Got another ticket

so i am gone out of town this weekend to tyler, tx for a car show, sound competition, and a wade bowen concert. i was planning on having a good time. we went to the show, saw a few cool trucks and since it was cold, we decided to come back sunday, went to eat at outback and then to the concert. we got there(8:45) and i got ONE crown and coke, then i got 2 plain cokes. when we went to leave (at 11:30), the sign said "right lane must turn right" i was in the left lane going to turn left. i waited for a chance and then i pulled out onto broadway(which is 6 lanes wide, with a turn lane) i no more got into the middle lane and red and blues light me up. i pulled into the first parking lot and killed the truck. he did the usual talk about what i was pulled over for and then started telling me that i reaked of alcohol, and my eyes were bloodshot. i told he everything that i had done that night and my eyes were bloodshot from the 200+ smokers in the bar. he then asks me to step out of the truck because he wants me to do a field soberiety test. i think F*** i am gonna get arrested for 1 D*** drink. i pass the test and the other two officers and i talked about the car show, the club, me being 2+ hours away from home, and the illegal tint on my taillights. the first officer says here is your citation for "failure to follow traffic control devices(illegal left turn)". the cop says "i do not think that you are intoxicated, or anywhere close to being drunk, but i want to give you a breathalizer to show where you are at on the legality scale. i said ok, i blow the first time and he showed me it read ".0000", the first cop asks the other two cops if he did something wrong, he said do it again, i blew again and it read ".0001" the cop then told me that i should be somewhere around .004 for my size(and by the way i am 285 lbs. it would take a lot for me to get drunk) he then let me go. it took everything that i had not to back into his car, but i didn't want anymore trouble.

sorry for the long rant, but i needed to tell somebody besides my pissed off parents. the way i look at it is, it could've been a lot worse.

on the plus side, i did win 1st place at the audio competition, i hit 137.5 db in my truck.

You kidding me? They wont let you take defensive driving? Man, I have gotten speeding tickets deferred for way less than that.

talked to my agent last night and he told me i can do defensive driving, but it will be 100 court cost, and 50 to 60 for the class. if i don't take it, my insurance will be the same and i get to keep the 150 to 160 in my pocket. if i do take it, it won't go on my record and i will only save 40 a year on my insurance

IMO you should take it. You dont want anything on your driving record. Can hurt you later. Like if you get another ticket, or loose your job and have to get another one. DD is the best way to go.
