    is it a car or a truck

    im here asking the age old question for an argument that's been going on for years and years. do you guys consider the el camino a car or truck? just curious to see what everyone's opinions are.

    id say car...based off the suspension.


    But then i look at some of the guys on here, who are lowered, and think...if it's a car...so are they.
    blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

    Anything without a complete frame is a car, IMO. Can't remember if the El Camino had the full frame from the Malibu or not. It was a Malibu with a bed, so I vote car.

    Car with a bed. Useless in other words. Won't haul much and kinda ugly.

    They have full frames. Every g-body had the exact same frame except bumper ends.

    I've always considered them a truck just because of the bed. I have no other reason but that. My buddy had one back in HS and we pulled out the 350 and put in a mild 454. It was kinda fun.

    I wonder how the different states require it to be registered.
