2nd fastest TBSS in TX of course

Found this article in GMHighTechandPerformance! Complete article is here... 2007 Chevy Trailblazer SS - GM High-Tech Performance Magazine

    Move over slowpokes.

2007 Chevy Trailblazer SS - Mover And Shaker

We're not exactly sure what's in the Houston water supply, but we're relatively positive they should bottle it up and sell it as an energy drink. It seems like every month we feature another sick LSx car from this area, almost always in the 9s and almost always one of the fastest in the country. It should come as no surprise then that this is yet another monster, though unlike the other H-town animals-this one has the size to go with its demeanor. Owner Holloway Houston and builder Nick Field of Fastlane Turbo chose a two-wheel-drive Trailblazer SS as the platform to build a single-turbo LSX that runs 9.89 at 142 mph. Did we mention it can pull the front tires, weighs in at over 5,000 pounds, and is the second-fastest Trailblazer SS in the country?

From the GMHTP forum.... TBSS - GM Forums at GM High-Tech Performance Magazine

All my work from mechanics to tuning and electronics is done by RPM in Garner N.C. These guys house the #1 fastest and quickest TBSS in the Country. It is even noted in the Fastlane article that they are the second fastest. Why not feature "the" fastest? The driver/owner of the quickest/fastest TBSS is Martin Cox and he also owns the record for nitrous stock suspension car. I could be mistaken but I think those guys at RPM with Martin Cox have been 8.11 1/4 mile, one of their cars at 5.07 1/8 mile, and on 275 drag radials. I've also read 1.18 sixty foots. From what I've read about the TBSS, it's been 1.24 sixty and 9.06 in the 1/4 mile and fully streetable with 4 seats and the radio jammin' away. It is also my understanding that the nitrous stock suspension record held by RPM and Martin Cox has been in place for a year now. I read my magazine cover to cover and have seen no mention of such in GMHTP.

I don't recall even seeing a single TBSS there then again time was compressed and seemed to just fly by that day.
