just got a set of doug thorley headers for my 2003 silverado w/a 4.8l and am planning on installing on the 21st. the installation looks straight forward but im worried about the bolts closest to the firewall. Can anyone give me some tips to make this go as easy as possible. The only other mods are a custom cat-back exhaust w/flowmaster 40 series muffler and a AEM intake. Any help would be appreciated.

are you talking about the exhaust manifold bolts at the back of the head. i used a 10mm wrench and got the loose. then used a swivel to put them back and pull them out. other than that it is easy.

Are the Thorley headers shorties, mid length or long tubes? The only pics I could find looked like they were shorties or mids.
