Looking for a good place (hotel)to stay that is close to where the Mavricks play club football at in a few weeks when South Alabama comes to play.

The Mavericks play basketball in downtown Dallas. The Rangers baseball team and The Cowboys football team play in Arlington. There are dozens of hotels in the area...plus the airport (DFW) is nearby too.

Yeah looks like the stadium is on campus, or at least close. Not sure if we are flying yet. Watched them play last night in New Orleans, just to see what we are up against.

So are you talking about the UT Arlington Mavericks? LOL I thought you meant NBA. Because of the new NFL stadium and location close to the airport there are lots of hotels. Take a tour of the GM assembly plant down the street while you're there. UTA didn't have football when I attended there.

Oh, you want to set the UTA Mavericks play. Didn't realize they had a football team.

If you stay in Arlington you'll be right down the road from Six Flags. Hotels are going to be pricey in that area, plan $100-$150 a night. You will want to stay closer to I30 than I20 unless you want to go to the mall and then all the malls are on I20.

I would highly recommend that you take a tour of the new Cowboys football stadium even if you're not a fan. Definitely would be worth the $$.

Yeah, the Mavricks have a club football team hoping to get a NCAA one. My youngest son plays for South Alabama's club team. I knew there was some good info on here, had already googled for hotels. Wonder if they do tours of the GM plant and Cowboys stadium(with the low flat screen) on weedends?

go to the cowboys website and you can find out about weekend tours, I know they do them during the week. I'm not sure if they give GM tours at all. Let us know if you find out that they do.

They give tours at the GM plant. Doesn't even have to be a large group but you do have to make plans in advance.
