Optima yellow top or red top?

I already have 1 yellow top battery on my truck plus the stock one, a couple of days ago my work truck's battery went death and I took the stock one from my truck and use it.. Today I will buy the battery missing on my truck, should I go with the red top or yellow top?
    Things you need to know:
    1.- I have 3 pairs of 55w HID's (Hi's, Low's and Fogs)
    2.- Strobes (6 x 90w bulbs) (rarely use them)
3.- sound system (2 amplifiers + 2 subs etc etc)

-Red top battery has 3 year warranty
-Yellow top is more expensive and has only 1 year warranty..

that's about it.. Please let me know what you think..

For What I heard.....the difference between the 2 of them is that the Red handles more vibrations, and the yellow one is a deep cycle, so if u run them down the alternator charge them quickly, other than that......Red works great, I have 2 of them, one in my camaro, and one in my truck, never a problem (Truck with 3 amps, HID's, 2 8" Subwoofers and 4 speakers, Electric fans, and high volume fuel pump) (camaro just plain and simple striped, with all digital gauges, eletric cooling system, hids)

Had one before (red top) in my old truck, for more than 5 years, sold the truck with it, never a problem.

    My 2 cents.

I've always used identical batteries in any dual battery setup I have wired. So I would say either yellow or ditch the original yellow and get dual exide purple haze batts.

Missed the part about running 2 batts. I guess I just skimmed. If you already have one yellow top I would just get another.

Running dual batteries you will definitely want to get the same kind you already have.

It would be best to have 2 matched batteries, meaning they peak at the same voltage or as close as possible.

What happens if one battery is fully charged at 13.4 volts and the other is fully charged at 12.9 it will drain the higher battery to 12.9. So the affect is that neither battery will last as long as they could have.

I had 2 red tops manufactured the same month, peak voltage was right on and ran them dual for years. killed them bone dry several times by leaving the interior light or something stupid like that. it actually sat for a couple weeks once like that.
they charged back up fine, while they did lose some of the punch they had from new i ran them for 11 years and they still work great.
one is in my garage and one is in my nephews car doing fine.
So Optima is a great choice for sure.

The yellow tops are a hybrid battery that can be discharged many times without being damaged by it. the only draw back to them is they have a little less CCA then the red tops. But with duals you should have plenty of power to run anything you hook up to them.

I am on my second yellow top in 3 years. Warranty covered part of the first one but they don't make anything like they use to.

You can also isolate the auxilary battery with a relay so that you can run one down completely and still have a starting battery. I did many a boat and truck thataway.
