    cam specs...

    a buddy gave me a cam that he thinks is a trex... but doest know specs on it.. can someone hep me translate the stuff engraved on it?

    along the top it reads: 3731R / 3734R

    lobe separation of 110 + 2

    along the bottom it reads: H3152-06

    and in the middle left it has: cc engraved on it


    any clue?

    the first numbers are lobe profile codes from Comp Cams, call them or go to their website and look them up.

    thanks man i found out that its a custom ground comp cam with 242/248 610/615 and a 110 +2 awesome... should wake it up a bit.. vs. ive got a 224/226 510/510 110 in it right now

    what valve springs do you have? Most are only good to .600 lift. The new 918s are good to about .620 max, I believe. Nothing GM can handle that much lift.

    theyre patriot stage II heads with a valve and valve spring job done im not sure what they are good for though. it came out of a ws-6 ta with factory heads...

    They should be good to .650" lift if they have their standard gold springs in them.

    You will bend pushrods or bind the coils to the point they may break and collapse. Call Gunnar at Patriot and tell him the serial number on your head, should be stenciled on the end face. He can tell you if the springs are good for that cam.
