    KB 2.8 on a GTO

YouTube - Eas Texas Muscle Cars and the First ever KB gto built here.

YouTube - about to go for a drive

Just thought you guys would like to see something new but still LS based. I posted it bc it's LS based and no small feat of engineering from a shop in TX trying to raise the bar.

KB 2.8 on a GTO. Anyone put one on a truck yet? They've (KB) dangled the carrot for a while about releasing a LS system. Vortech just started shipping the 2.3. I know the GTO's are crowded hence the hole in the hood but trucks would clear easy no cutting no cowl hood? I'm pretty sure a new hood is on the to-do list. It's not even tuned yet.

The TVS 2300 has been done already. photos5025.flv video by TorksterGTO - Photobucket
Perfect fit. No clearance issues. Vettes have a hump. Lingenfelter and Callaway use cowl hoods.

KB 2.8 is huge. The TVS 2.3 wasn't even a stretch from the 1900 already being run. The 3.3 from Vortech will be a beast.

You said it yourself they wont fit under stock hood.

Cutting hole in hood is unacceptable to 99% of the world so it
makes no since to develop a kit for mass marketing.

and the hot rod truck market is only fraction of the hot rod car market.

I like it, I wonder what kind of power it made at the wheels. My friends gto make 575 rwhp with a pro charger. I love that car!

I'd rather have a TVS2300. Gotta be a reason they are on the new ZR1

KB are cool looking but aren't as good as the eatons or other brands. sense they are all billet they don't dissipate heat well at all.

Ya, we did a KB 2.8L on a 408 for 567's truck, the admin here, pretty strong sleeper.

After both the tvs and KB, I'd say the tvs has a better fit, design, and power over the KB, but not by much. The KB kit is nice and worked out great, but the iats are much higher.
